Launch Summary
The day began with John Wilke launching Argos on an Animal Motor Works Green Gorilla M1850 for an L3 Certification Attempt. Unfortunately a sewn loop on the recovery harness failed during the main parachute deployment and separation occured. Craig Perkins attempted a Level 2 Certification flight with his Endeavour, using a long burn J90. The hybrid pad was kept busy most of the day with some impressive Ratt and Hypertek flights. Jon Skuba made his first K-Impulse and first hybrid flight with "Piton" on the Ratt K240 - successfully landing the 8 pound rocket under a 24" drogue.
Weather Conditions
Northern Colorado weather made a turn in favor of launching rockets today as the cloud cover broke and the wind calmed. By mid day, the temps had soared into the 70's with SE winds between 4 and 15 mph. The wind kicked up just as we were shutting down for the day and carried the last two flights more than a mile down range.
