NCR Club Launch - June 2011

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Huge thanks to Mike Shinn for towing out and helping set the range. 27 different flyers put up a total of 48 flights - 38 Class One and 10 Class Two.  Flights are listed in a random order as the cards have been shuffled and sorted a few times.  Motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used.  A's=3, B's=7, C's=10, D's=7, E's=2, F's=5, G's=4, H's=3, I's=3, J's=2 and K's=2     Waiver opened at 9:15, closed at 4:30 with the threat of weather.    Nice visit with Sam from the Greeley Tribune.  Great to see some old PHITS flyers return to the scene with family in tow.

Weather Conditions

Almost perfect except for the wind.  Blew fairly consistently thru the day, ranging in the ten to sixteen mph velocities.  Threat of afternoon thundershowers appeared but missed dropping moisture on site.  Winds calmed down in the late afternoon, died for most of the night and returned on Sunday at less than half strenght.  Super clear skies and very comfortably warm.
