NCR Club Launch - November 2008

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Troy Hummel for towing out and back, to Ken Sherman, Warren DeBelle, Art Hoag, Mike Shinn, Rich Reuter and everyone else that helped with the range set up and clean up.  30 flyers put up 82 flights.  Paul Fecteau had the most with 6, chased by Dan Winter, Mike Shinn and Dennis Billings with 5 each.  Great to see John Wilke out for a visit.   Notable flights include L1 certs for Bill Stone, Mark Rodden and Bob Steinke; Steve Marshall's 20th flight for Rocky 5, SSSS shot to 12,360' by Ed Dawson and Jon Skuba's staged Hotline.  Flights are listed in random order and motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged and clusters credited to the largest motor used.  1/2 A's=1, A's=7, B's=1, C's=12, D's=7, E's=8, F's=4, G's=19, H's=8, I's=5, J's=6 and K's=4.   

Weather Conditions

Absolutely stunning weather for this time of year.  Indian summer has kept the prairie critters busy as there were an abundance of antelopes in the area and the most snakes we've ever seen.  Clear skies and little to no wind most of the day.  Temperatures probably reached the low seventies and winds aloft remained calm until the end of the waiver at 4 PM.
