Launch Summary
Regularly scheduled club launch. Thanks to Bear for towing both ways. 24 different flyers put up 52 flights - 42 Class 1, 10 Class 2. Great to be back on the range to meet up with old and new friends. Notable flights include the first L1 Certification of the Year to Joe Casabona, the Gizmo XL flown by Vic Davis on a L585, Bear's E boosted Superhawk Glider and lots of clusters. Flights are listed in a random order just because and motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged and clusters clredited to the largest motor used. A's=2, B's=4, C's=14, D's=2, E's=11, F's=7, G's=2, H's=2, I's=3, J's=4, NO K's and 1 L.
Weather Conditions
Weather forecasters were spot on. Waiver opened at 10 with clear to broken clouds, ceiling above 12,000. By noon, clouds started to gather together and drop along with the temps. By 2, ceiling was down to about 6,000 and the wind had picked up considerably making the 36 degrees feel more like 25. Closed the range and waiver at 2:30 when the wind and scattered snow showers blew in.
