Atlas Site - Pawnee Grasslands Saturday March 7th, 2026 Launch Summary
Regularly scheduled date. Waiver at 9. Thanks to Jack Matthews for towing both ways and to Art Hoag and CSU students for help with range set up and tear down. Thanks to Vic Davis and Larry Haynes for help loading the trailer. CSU USLI Team got their flight up with mixed results and Kudus to CSU Fin Stabilization Team for scrubbing flight due to battery issues. 20 different fliers for 38 flights, including a few Certification attempts.
Weather Conditions
A Colorado Blubird day! Dead calm and cyrstal clear blue skies unitl about 2 o'clock. Maybe an inch of snow coverage that slowly melted/evaporated off the fuel laden priaire. Great to have a Fort Collins Fire Truck and crew members on site for the day. Super happy to say thanks for baby sitting and glad you weren't needed.
