Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled launch weekend although Sunday cancelled due to HIgh Wind warning.   Huge thanks to Jack Matthews for towing and range set up along with Adrian's help, and Scott Dukes and I'm sure others.   Big crowd from Regis Jesuit High School on Prom Night.  CSU Rocketry with Fin Stabilization project.  Epic Day!

 

Weather Conditions

Epic day!  Clear and warm, little to no wind.  Prairie still very dry - precipitation has not been falling enough to affect any greening of the vegatation. Almost krsipy dry.  Moisture may be coming too little too late this year.

The launching of rockets on NFS land is normally prohibited under a Forest Service Region 2 fire regulation. The issuance of NCR’s permit allows launches to take place by exempting the Holder from that regulation for approved launch events only. All launches, other than those conducted by the Holder during approved launch events, are outside the scope of this permit and are prohibited by Forest Service regulations.
