NCR Club Launch - April 2010

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Ken and John Reilly for towing out and to Mike Shinn for towing back.  38 flyers put up 105 flights - 64 Class One and 41 Class Two.  Chad Moore and Art Hoag led the airshow with ten flights each.  Certification flights include L1 for Larry Haynes, L2 for Rick McDonald, L2 for Steve Jensen, L2 for Fred Hower and L2 for David Bishop - Congrats!  Other notable flights include a new TRA "I" altitude record by John Wilke, Scott Evan's "Hair of the Dog" moonburner boost, a fleet of Colonial Vipers from Doug Schmidt, lots of Alphabet flights and Chris LaPanse's "Frick&Frack" rotor recovery.  Flights are listed in a random order and motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used.  A's=9, B's=7, C's=11, D's=11, E's=9, F's=4, G's=13, H's=10, I's=13, J's=12, K's=5 and L's=1

Weather Conditions

Glorious spring day on the prairie.  Fairly calm winds aloft and on the ground.  Clear skies and plenty of sunshine to warm the soul.
