NCR Club Launch - May 2009

Launch Summary

Day Four of Mile High Mayhem.  16 fliers put up only 28 flights.  Notable flights include Robert Garbee's Bio-Hazard - his first cluster of 3 E9's, John Hornkolh's Damn Hybrid on a wax grain K something, Mark Stumbuagh's Mach Diamond on a J570 and the drag race between Ken Sherman's Hint and Warrren DeBelle's Skuzzi Nickadeemus on I435's.  Flights are listed in a randomn order and motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged and clusters flights credited to the largest motor used.  All A's=2, B's=2, C's=3, D's=2, E's=4, G's=3, I's=5, J's=5 and K's=2.

Huge thanks to Mike Shinn, John Wilke, Jon Skuba, Chris Johnson, Mark Lionberger, Ken Sherman and Warren DeBelle for their invaluable assistance in tearing down and packing up the range.   Praise and Thanksgiving to Ed Dawson for towing the trailer back to storage. 

Weather Conditions

Clear skies very early in the morning but the clouds moved in before the range could get very active.  Ceiling remained pretty high but the winds had shifted 180 degrees and were blowing strongly to the south east.  Active by 9 and closed the range and waiver at 1:30 with the ugly threat of impending heavy showers.
