NCR Club Launch - July 2011

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Bear for towing both ways.  Thanks to all that helped with set-up and clean-up, especially Dennis Billings,Mike Shinn, Vic Davis, Mark Lionberger and David Bishop.  42 flyers put up 114 flights - 12 of those by Ryan Plattner.  Notable flights include an L1 Cert for Jack Matthews, L2 for Josh Osler, and L3's for Ron Dreasher, Sean Serell, Steve Hendricks and Dennis Billings (Happy Birthday too!).  Other impressive flights include window users - above 20,000' -  Mark Lionberger, Ken Reilly, Scott Martin, Doug Krohn  and David Bishop and Adrian Adamson's TRA H-record shot.  And there was lots of Alphabet action.  Flights are listed in no particular order.  Motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used.  A's=5, B's=6, C's=8, D's=13, E's=23, F's=13, G's=10, H's=14, I's=5, J's=4, K's=7, L's=2 and M's=4.

Weather Conditions

High Skies in July - clear and calm early on.  Clouds slowly gathered for a spit of rain and then cleared out for a pleasent evening on the prairie.  Friday night was a different story with monsoon rains and hurricane winds.  What a difference a few hours make.
