NCR Club Launch - September 2008

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Ken Reilly for towing out and to Mark Stumbaugh for towing back on Sunday.  Huge thanks to Mike Shinn and Warren DeBelle for help setting up and even bigger thanks and aprreciation to James and Jordan Russell, Mike Shinn and Ed Wranosky for help packing up.  As always, Praise and Thanksgiving to Tim Thomas for bringing the store and to Kenneth Brown from Launch Magazine for visiting with us on site.  37 flyers put up 110 flights.  Rick McDonald had the most with 8, including two incredible helio-rocter shots.  Notable flights include Mark Stumbaugh's Level 1 Cert with TRA and Bill Taylor's L2 with TRA.  Kira Schmidt's Little Pig was back in the skies and Emmett Neilsen's One Man's Trash gave recycling a whole new meaning.  Flights are listed in a random order and motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used. 1/8A=1, 1/2A=3, A=2, B=4, C=31, D=10, E=9, F=9, G=18, H=8, I=7, J=6, K=1 and L=1.

Weather Conditions

Awesome weather for early September.  Summer has lingered long enough to keep the air warm, the prairie green and ground winds almost non-existent.  Calm, clear skies for most of the morning, high clouds and more calm in the afternoon.  Waiver closed at five.
