Saturday September 11th, 2004

Launch Summary

Thanks to Glen for towing out the trailer and setting up the equipment. Notable flights today included successful Level 1 Certification flights for Troy Hummel with his Gladiator on an Aerotech I-285 Redline and Joe Cowan's Little Fatty on an Aerotech H1`28. Jon Skuba made 6 successful flights including Piton on a Rattworks K240, Resurrection on a J-350 and the last flight of the day with this Checkmate on an H210 Redline. Mike and Zach Crawford continued their persuit of NARTREK glory and Dale Netherton flew an impressive cluster of Estes D12's. Warren Mussleman didn't lose anything and Art Hoag helped Cameron fly the Green Dragon on an Aerotech G-75. It was really an incredible late summer day on the prairie.

Weather Conditions

Morning breezes virtually disappeared and temperatures climbed into the mid-eighties. Very few clouds.

All launch events will be conducted using nationally approved/accepted range safety practices. The launching of rockets on NFS land is normally prohibited under a Forest Service Region 2 fire regulation. The issuance of NCR’s permit allows launches to take place by exempting the Holder from that regulation for approved launch events only. All launches, other than those conducted by the Holder during approved launch events, are outside the scope of this permit and are prohibited by Forest Service regulations.
