My dad Eric (aka:elvis) and I flew a experimentle k motor in a blue 54mm fin can rocket at the atlas site March 5. We dont know if the streamer or parachute deployed we lost it after it went to 12000 FEET. Were thinking it on the east side of the road and from 100 feet to 2 miles. So if you guys could keep a look out that would be great.
P.S the rocket is 54mm with a fincan. It is about 6 feet tall with yellow strips towards the bottom.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
