I served as default Contest Director this past year and cannot do so in 2007. I will still be involved in club management, but I’m not well suited to Contest director as I am not NAR and don’t personally care about the micro-rules that NAR uses in it’s contests and as a result we haven’t been running some of the contests that NAR members like to see.
I would love to see a NAR member or even better, a dual NAR/Tripoli member stand up and volunteer for the role of Contest Director.

I am still the contest director. I was overwhelmed with the idea of dealing with the NAR contests, but we found a way to deal with that without me having to deal with them.

Bruce Schaefer has graciously offered to handle the NAR contest details. I just get to deal with the club and Tripoli oriented stuff and do the announcements and award the prizes at the annual meetings.
