ModeratorThere are 7 people in the SSS for a total pot of $140. Super SSS is up to 5 contestants and $100. Let’s talk…. The more the merrier in these contests. Serious money is possible. I do know that NCR’s SSS and SSSS contests paid out more money at the annual meeting this year than all other contests Nationwide have paid. Get in on it. $20 isn’t much and you can win a helluva lot more than that… and learn something in the process….not to mention be challenged and forced to give the best of yourself to win. Be creative, do something you haven’t done before…

I’m in for the SSSS – I’ll pay the fee at the rocketry dinner (I can’t make the Feb. launch). I have something interesting planned, and I shouldn’t lose it this time because a tracker is allowed.

I’m in for 250, that is there are takers.

ParticipantWarren, I still have a few questions about the SSSS. Procedurally is there anything different about checking in with the RSO? In particular, will I have to remove the motor prior to flying? What about the electronics? I would have everything prepped before arriving and it would not be conducive to doing that before flying.

ModeratorNothing different, although you will have to remove the motor so that it can be examined FOLLOWING the flight.

ParticipantNo problem after the flight. Warren, for some reason I cannot find these pages anywhere except when you posted the link from the previous SSSS thread.
Single Shot Sweepstakes rules http://www.ncrocketry.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=5
Super Single Shot Sweepstakes Rules http://www.ncrocketry.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=13
Am I missing something? I can’t seem to find them from the contests page or anywhere else. I posted them again so I could refer to them easier…

ParticipantBe sure to sign me up for the SSSS Warren, Bret Packard. I don’t care about the pot, I’m just excited to throw my hat in the ring. This will definitely push me to try and learn some new stuff. I will pay at the Feb launch, if there is one, but I didn’t see one posted on the schedule.

ModeratorWe tentatively scheduled Saturday Feb 3rd for a launch, but several folks have been out to the Atlas site and North site and neither is accessible due to snow. There were 4′-7′ drifts out at the Atlas site access road last week. SO, it is assumed that the February launch will be scrubbed.
As for the Single Shot Sweepstakes (and Super Single Shot Sweepstakes), see me at the March launch or any launch thereafter. The more players the merrier (and the bigger the pot!) I carry the list with me to every launch.

Regarding the 2/3 launch — I’ll visit the Atlas site this weekend, but I can tell you that we’ve had very little melting up north and the last time I was out there, the cacti were not a problem (because they were under 6′ of snow).
For those not at the meeting, the Roadrunner G80 was selected for this year’s SSS. Jon Skuba is a dealer for these loads, http://www.coolrocketstuff.com Jon attends most NCR launches.

JS 😈I’m definitely not, as I can’t afford a risk like that right now. I need that money for my L2 project, which will fly next year at MHM probably.
