I’m creeping along slowly. Finally got the fincan together. This view shows the aft and middle centering rings, fins, and airstart fiberglass conduits:

Here’s the rear view showing the motor retention and airstart conduits:

Here’s a test fit of the airstart motor mount tubes:

Much more to go…

Sweeeeet!

8) Nice, but what are all those holes and tubee looking things for? 😈
Thats just the ejection baffle, you should see the motor mount! 😯

Anyone got any old F101’s or long burn 24mm Ellis G’s…? Maybe 6? 😈 😈
-Ken
Then again, the question comes up on getting them all lit in the air…
8) I have 2 or 3 F101’s. I tried to use one in November in my Canadian Arrow and it CATO’d real bad, It blew the bottom of the Arrow off, major repair. I also have a few Ellis G, SU. Boy, that would be a trick to get 6 of thoes suckers to light in the air! Good Luck! 8)
JK Tim on those motors! I know it’d take 6 small miracles to get such a beast lit.
On the other hand, I would like to do it with either BP D12’s or E9’s, then maybe some Blue Thunder 24’s… F39’s seemed to light pretty well. Timer will be either PET2 or Perfectflite MT3G. The PET2 would allow 3 then 3 starts.
I just need to find a source for pyrogen-augmented ematches that will fit in such small motors.
Anyone???
Thanks,
Ken
I have 4 or 5 F101’s 😆 😯
Very Nice. I’m not that bold yet. I am being very conservative.
No thrills….just get level one.
I have a HyperLoc-300 sitting here ready to build.
Have an RRC2X to put in it for duel deploy.
This is a big leap for me. If I have it togeater by
MHM may test fly it??????
I will be trying my Level 1 on a HI-Tech H45.
Or a scratch built 3″ called Odyssey.
I also have a 5.5″ Big Nuke. I think that is a
year or so away.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
