so i have a question on mounting. Do you guys use a rubber grommet or something to stand the altimeter off of the board a bit? Or just screw it right to the plywood sled?
I use either steel or nylon standoffs and make my sleds out of G10.

We get Peterbilt windshields that are seperated by strips of
semi hard rubber. I glued this rubber to the sled and recessed
the altimeter. Not real pretty but secure. I will retain the altimeter
in the rubber with a rubber band. The battery is on the back side.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
