With a new launch site and a waiver of 8,000 ft. AGL comes great responsibility…. and the need to upgrade our launch equipment! I have been to Mile High Mayhem and Oktoberfest last year and admired the ingenuity and creativity that clearly went into setting up your launch system.
And so as I exhale, I feel the peace that all is well and so I place a smile upon my face that reflects the joy of my soul and I step forth and ask, would it be possible for someone to show us how to build such a system?

Glen Colon-Benet, our Tripoli Secretary, is responsible for that system.

Thanks Warren. Our club has spoken and decided to purchase the SIXPACK Multiple Launch Controller system from Pratt Hobbies ($119.95) along with some of their Pad Relay Modules ($24.00 each).

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
