In my instructions for my HL, It calls for:
Make a mark 11″ from the end of the motor mount tube along the
air frame and drill the overflow tube hole using a 3/8″ drill bit making
sure to extend the hole from the outside of the air frame into the
motor mount tube.
This is a 54mm motor mount tube. The rocket is Hybrid ready. A longer
motor mount.
Is this hole required if I am not going to use Hybrid?
This is a stock build, no modifications.
Hi Mike-
If you are not going to fly hybrids, this hole is not needed…

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
