Actually, I have no idea if it was really our first, but how’d it go yesterday? I couldn’t do both days since I’m saving up my hall passes for MHM. Hope you guys had the same great weather with a touch less wind.
The day was ok. The weather was a bit better with less wind at times. I was not able to fly but I did get in a couple of static tests in prep for MHM’s research day. My Purple Nurple color came out fantastic so I made up two 6 grain “M” motors for Sponge Bob as well as four 5 grain K motors with my SunRise propellant. I have been making motors over the past couple of weeks including several more I, J, and K motors to fly at MHM. Just hope the weather is real nice.
A few other people flew rockets but ended up walking due to the wind. If the weather was nicer I believe there would have been many more flights. Overall it was a good day.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
