This is an upscale of an Estes Swift. Had a lot of fun
building. This is my first upscale. After seeing the fantastic QUARK from last year, I
had a need to upscale.I only hope it flys as well as the QUARK
Will fly on 7-7-7
Designed for a G64 or G79

ParticipantThat IS cool. What’s it going to fly on? My 8 yr old has an A motor swift he loves to fly. He hasn’t lost it yet, even though you can’t even see it after a couple hundred feet in altitude.

Nice! I was thinking about an upscale Swift next. Oh well, I’m now thinking about a 6 or 8 inch Big Daddy. 😀 We just need someone to upscale a Mosquito to make a really fun drag race. When do you plan to fly it?

Bill Heath had a upscale Mosquito, it was an awsome rocket. I havnt seen him in a long time so I think someone needs to build another.

A guy down at CRASH used to fly a 3″ Mosquito on some H’s. It was kind of fun with that and my 2.6″ Quark running around.
How big is that other Quark? 3 or 4″? That could be a cool drag race. 🙂

Bill Heath actually moved out to California. I think he got rid of most of his rocket stuff but I know he still has a couple of his favorite birds. Sad to see him go just like it will be sad to see John Wilke go but life calls sometimes doesn’t it?

If you think YOU are sad to see JW go, you oughtta be in my shoes (wah!!!)
I’ll be back from time to time. In fact, I’ll be back for Oktoberfest if the 30K window comes into play?
My thought is that I’ll do the MHM thing and one other launch per year…

ParticipantIf you think about it, after you factor in bad weather, fire danger, the family, work and any of the other stuff that can stop a guy from launching. Then I think the average guy only gets to fly maybe a half dozen good solid days a year anyways.
John, all you have to do is choose wisely and then nothing will really change that much.
