I use a nomex square for my chute protection.
When converting my 5.5″ rocket to duel deploy, I see the weight
of the 78″ cute settles down onto the charge holder.
Is it workable to put a plywood baffle or shelf to keep the
contents from dropping down?
Making sure adiquate holes are drilled for the pressure
movement upward.
I see the tac bags ‘Deployment Bags’ but they all say to only use with their chutes. I already have LOC chutes.
Thanks Mike

I am a HUGE fan of pistons for just this reason. Plus, if your nosecone shakes loose, the main charge can just blow on by. As such, I use pistons (and shear pins)…. The laundry will always come out w/ a piston…
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
