Anyone interested in a research day Nov 4th (the Sunday after commercial day)? I am looking to see if there is interest in holding a research launch on Sunday Nov 4th. I was not able to get Sponge Bob up at Oktoberfest and I would really like to fly the M and 4 K’s. So if enough people are interested I will arrange the launch with the club. So do I have any takers or even spectators?
I would definitly get out there. We also have some stuff to fly so we can contribute. Hopefully the weather holds so we can fly!
Well seeings how I hate mixing propellant SOOOOOoooo much 🙄 I may just have to see if Art wants to try to put BAMF up beings he didnt get to this last launch. But I think this time I will use the 75-7600 case… Or maybe something bigger. like my 98-11000 case. But I guess if mike or whoever twist my arm good enough I just may have to be there.
If I can find a motor or two I’ll make it up. Don’t know if Tim T. will be making it down for the club launch. Haven’t been to a research day yet but I want to.

Dale might be ready to repeat on the Dragon’s Breath L1400 that he flew at balls. Dragon’s Breath has a purple flame with titanium sparks… perfect gray day or night launch propellant…

I’m Twisting alright!
Even though I can’t be there, I voted **YES** because:
a.) the defacto club motto is “I’d go ahead and do that if I were you”, and
b.) there is no better time to do this sort of thing. Fire danger is minimal
You really should smoke ’em if you got ’em. Were I there, I’d lob something up myself. Just post some pix………

8) I know I will stay for a shot or two. I think I got the Vertical Assault fixed up. That tail section just wanted to drive, and the nose cone would not let him. So the rocket did the DOG CHASES TAIL thing, with a K650 Loadmouth Blue up its’ bu–!! 😯 Was good for a laugh though! See-ya next month!
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
