ParticipantHey Just curious who is planning to attend (weather permiting) and what you plan to fly. Anyone going to attend the research launch on Sunday?

I’ll be there Saturday, but not Sunday, with just an I357, nothing big, still waiting for things to come in the mail. Of course, they’ll get here as soon as it’s too cold to build anything out in ye ol’ garage. 🙄

8) I shall be there. I have a rebuilt Talon 3 (all glass) that will fly DD on a Pro J400 6gr. SS. Hope to launch the SSS bird, Not the highest flier but, I hope to get it back. Min. dia. Bird, I hope to see it again! If I have time a nice Nike flight on a K670GG. I might stick around for Sunday, I have a Con-Jamie Red for the Vertical Assault. I did a few repairs, hope to keep it from swaping ends. It seams a good idea to keep the fire end down. 😛 I will bring motors. Hope the weather is good. 8)

Hey, at this point, anything that clears the launch rod in the SSS wins the prize! Were I there (and in the SSS) I think I’d lob something up to 1,000′ and try and win the big bucks… There is a good chance that there won’t even BE a December launch. This may be the last hurrah?
There is a lesson here — a good flight that has reportable altitude trumps a huge blast that is lost. If someone puts up a chip-shot, that would rearrange priorities for next year! This is a bit of a chess game. Sort of a vertical version of the tortoise and the hare 🙂
Good luck to all who fly. Wish I were there……….
