OK all… Before I SPAM everyone on the membership list, is there someone that can tow the trailer for this weekend’s launch?
Ed
i got balls!!!!!! 😛
Yes, but can you tow with them?
Yes
The crux issue is do you have a 2″ ball, able to handle 600-800 pounds tongue weight and have a 4 or 5 inline plug, 5 pin pentagonal or 7 pin round style wiring plug?

I can’t wait to hear Scott’s response on this one…
600 – 800 pounds????????????????????
Give me a break! Is that a styrofoam trailer????
Childs play, try 18000 lb of roofing trash on a 2-5/16 equalizer hitch IN A DULLY!
(um that was a little scarry)
As far as the the plug, well ive got 2 in the back on the van.
My experiance has shown, I could have 10 plugs, and nun would be right the first time!!! 🙄

Do you work for a trailer dealer??

Scott,
Many thanks! You saved the launch this weekend. I’ll shoot you an email with directions to the trialer.
Sorry I can’t be there this weekend. Good luck on the cert flight!
I’ve towed enough trailers to know… tongue weight is generally 1/3 of total load – our case more like 1/5 or 1/6. You need a beefy vehicle and expect to get crappy gas mileage.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
