8) Guys and gals, Due to the very poor weather in the mountains, and the thought of 600+ miles in rain and snow, I have called off my trip to the Launch. You guys know I don’t do this very often, but the trick to making some 20 trips a year to launches on the Front Range SAFELY, is knowing when to say when. I know Denver and the launch site my be OK for a Launch, but those mountains are in between here and there. I will be over for the launch down at the ranch on 12/15 and the 1/5 NCR launch. I also will be at the 1/12 Annual Meeting. I hope to see you then. Tim 😥
Dont take any chances Tim, not worth it.
Well Bruce you still have that J350 and a case?
I dont know, if I dont get that altimeter and 9volt to fit in that small CPR3000 hole I wont be flying anyway. 🙁

Scott,
I have a J350 and case available if you need one, but I will not be at the launch tomorrow. I’d need to get it to you this afternoon.
Scott, if all you need for your altimeter is apogee deploy, I can provide a Parrot altimeter and battery which can fit anywhere. And you would get cool 200 Hz 2-axis accel data for your flight as a bonus. 😀
I’m about 80% sure I’m going tomorrow, depending on some family member illesses.

We will see what happens with this thing. Still working on it.
Scott, I’m not going to get there. Did you borrow one from Ed? I’m so sorry. But listen, if things don’t work out, there’s January.
I got 1 from ed
Thanks

Fantastic! Good luck tomorrow!
Thanks for the heads up Tim. I’m out of HPR motors so it would have been a bummer to go up and have you not be there. I’ll just take the $50 of gas I would have used and put it in my “Vertical Assault Fund”. 😀
Maybe it’s time for me to start thinking about an LEUP 😡
Bret, a LEUP with storage. 🙄
Tim, been checking out the weather. You made the right choice.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
