Hey Tim (or whoever else knows), I’m getting low on my west systems and was thinking of trying aeropoxy this next time around. I was wondering if aeropoxy has pumps like the West for getting proper ratios and also if you had any you could bring to the annual meeting. I’d actually like to hear about all 3 types you carry, my main focus is the laminating formula, but I might try the structural and filler products as well. Thanks.
No pumps to my knowledge. While West is the standard, I like Aeropoxy better. It cures cooler, and there’s no smell to it. I used it the other day to set an All-Thread into a nose cone, and I let it cure indoors. Don’t have to sink the nose cone in water to keep it from deforming the cone, unlike West’s. No smell. Non-toxic. It’s definitely as strong as West’s, too. The laminating epoxy gives you up to an hour to get any laminate layed up properly. Perfect stuff, IMHO. 😉
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
