Well, it’s not a cert, but I was more nervous about handing control over to my altimeter than I was with my L1.
Thanks to all who dealt with my questions on ground testing, to Mike for the BP and getting me set up. “Trust me, it won’t be as loud as you’d think.” BOOM! “Hmm. that was a bit more energetic than I thought it would be.”
The flight was cool and loud (not very high, tho) on a Warp9 H999. Bang, coast coast coast pop wait wait wait pop yay!
Again, Excess in Moderation sustained minor cosmetic damage. I think I’ll forego any more gorgeous auto paint. Maybe the next bird should be named JFTDT (just fly the damn thing). 🙄

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
