So this is a great big thank you to all who helped me out by buying my rocket stuff to help me get into my new hobby powered paragliding. Because lots of people pitched in and bought stuff I was able to purchase my gear and I have been flying just about every weekend for the past couple of months.
So like I said one of the reasons I did this was to help look for lost rockets so I will be out for Oktoberfest to fly around looking for lost rockets if the weather (wind) permits as well as answer any questions etc.
So thank you to all who helped me out, I really appreciate it.
See you at O-fest.

Jeffrey Joe HintonModeratorYehaw!!! Like I needed permission to lose another project. And now you’ll need to figure out how to do tandem flights.

Tandem flights are a ways off but yes my own family has expressed interest in a tandem flights. I currently foot launch but I have been looking at trikes. May happen someday soon.

I should be up Friday afternoon so if you have a general idea where they are at I could possibly fly around Friday evening after the range is closed wind permitting. I will camping by Steve and Chris Frazier at the South end of the line.

Thanks Greg you were one of the big contributors. Don’t worry I will not let you try it on unless you really beg and grovel…then I will think about it and still tell you no. 😆

ParticipantI guess that’s fair. My wife would think it’s more than fair. Although the begging and groveling would entertain her. I’d get shot, beaten and generally disowned by her if I tried to squeeze in one more thing.
Any pictures of it????? That should be safe. 😛September 26, 2008 at 5:17 pm #49198Mike Bennett
Here are a few pictures on my wing and me training with it as well as a short movie (not great quality) flying for my very first time:

ParticipantAwesome!!!! It looks like a total kick in the butt.
One thing though, I couldn’t do it. I’d be feeding the birds pretty quickly I bet. I get motion sick sometimes 😳
