Scott,
I’m sure you’ve done most of these, but here’s the steps that work for me.
– Download the RockSim .rse engine file from http://www.thrustcurve.org (or create your own engine file)
– Save it in the Program FilesRocksim 8Data directory
– Start RockSim and select File-Reload Engines and then add the new engine file to the list of “selected engines” being used. There were instructions at one time that said to put it in the RocksimDataNew folder but don’t do that. It does not work that well.
Also, you can add collections of egines the same way as this individual method.
Good luck, call me if you have questions….

I’ve got the Roadrunner files, but not the new E25, already. They were indeed a bit hard to find on the internet. email me and I can send to you.

Scott, I used Rocksim 4.0 (it came on the big floppy discs that really WERE “floppy”, so this may have changed)… but for that version you have to “reload” the engine data before it is available to a sim.
For me, I have to go to the drop-down FILE menu, then select “reload engine data”. Then the motor is there. Alternatively, at least in V4.0m you can close, and reopen the program. Reopening automatically refreshes the data.
FWIW, I have always found 4.0 to be pretty danged good. I upgraded to V5.0 and disliked it so much I went back to V4.0….

Warren B. MusselmanModeratorDon’t forget the step where you have to “Compile” the engine files before Rocksim can use them.

In v4.0 you have to put the new files into the “data” folder, then run the “engine database compiler” and then hit “reload engine data”.
Not sure what version you have and if it is the same…
