Preliminary numbers indicate lots and lots of holes in the sky happened over the weekend. Friday was incredibly hampered by the weather, as was Sunday but what a difference a nice day makes. Saturday, I’m counting 367 flights – 230 Class One and 101 Class Two, including ten M shots. Praise and Thanksgiving to all flyers, family and friends, at every level. Jon Skuba took a walk up and down behind the flight line and counted 133 cars at approximately 3 PM, stretching out beyond the Port-a-spots set a quartermile apart. HUGE Thanks to all of the volunteers and participants for another great day out on the range. I’ll get the flight logs updated soon.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
