Is anyone up for a trip to Black Rock in ’10? I’m thinking of going to MUDROC, which is typically in June. We probably won’t have a June NCR launch due to MHM, so that fits the calendar nicely.
Other launches at Black Rock are:
– Aeronaut (typically in early August, which I can’t make in 2010 due to a date conflict)
– XPRS which is typically in mid-September
– BALLS (date not yet set, sometimes conflicts with O’Fest)Anyone up for June on the playa?

Don’t know if this makes a difference, but LDRS is in June next year at Lucerne. Also, don’t forget at NARAM in Pueblo in August. So many choices…

I had heard a rumor somewhere that the Lucerne site was in a bit of jeopardy due to a waiver or insurance issue? That would be a real drag…

Maybe we bring our calendars to the annual meeting and put our heads together there. The dates for BALLS should be announced by then. Something like this takes some serious coordination.
Black Rock is an epic place. It sure is a LONG ways out there, though –

As you and I have discussed John, I’d like to see a significant NCR project go to BALLS… I’d like to more formally propose that willing members of NCR step up to work on a group project for BALLS 2010. IF there is interest in this, contact me via PM at least initially and lets do it. There are a number of ideas floating around out there for the project.

The dates for BALLS should be announced by then (annual meeting).
Unfortunately it probably won’t be announced by then. At least if the last few years were any indication. In fact this year they changed the date (to OF weekend) after it was announced for a previous weekend.
