Guys, I find myself a bit overstocked on Intimidator 5’s, http://www.3dogsrocketry.com/pdf/econoline%20kits/intimidator_5/Intimidator5-exp.pdf This rocket has a 98mm motor mount and is 5″ diameter — perfect for whoever has to fly an “N” to win the alphabet 😀 It is also a great L3 rocket.
For anyone who buys an Intimidator 5, I’ll throw in 40′ of 1/2″ tubular Kevlar ($50 value). This is limited to what I have in stock for Intimidator 5’s… which is several.
Thanks, JW

You bet it is! I made my L3 out of the Int. 5 kit, just added another 3 feet to it (pictured at left). Warren M. did his L3 with the kit, too.
CORRECTION: Warren and my L3’s were done with versions based on the Competitor 5. HOWEVER, the M-N rocket I fly now, the Crimson Comet, is ALLLLLL Intimidator 5, as was Mike Konshak’s L3. Mine’s been over Mach 1 and to over 2 miles last flight on an M, its N flight should hit over 3 miles. Absolutely SOLID kit.
They are indeed nice. I did my L3 on a kit… it was a Dynacom kit (who is no longer in biz). I paid about 2x for my stuff vs. what it costs today and it is very nearly the same kit.
Well built, this kit would handle ANY 98mm motor – including a hefty “N”… which is what it will probably take to win the alphabet this year.

Absolutely! Konshak took his over 3 miles on an M 1939; put a full N in, and you’d better have really good tracking!
