Those of you following the project Keith Packard and I have been collaborating on over the last couple years to develop an open source altimeter with integrated GPS and radio link may be interested to learn that we now have production boards available for sale!
Keith is coming out for Mayhem, as is a friend of mine from New Zealand. We’ll be flying TeleMetrum boards in all sorts of airframes… feel free to come by and take a look at what we’ve done in person!
In the meantime, you can learn more at our Altus Metrum community web site.
Congratulation on getting to production. Do you have a price yet?
Thanks, Adrian!
As for prices, a TeleMetrum board is $350, the TeleDongle USB to RF interface for use on the ground is $75, and we have an introductory special deal for $400 that includes one of each, a suitable LiPo battery, cables, and a cut vinyl logo decal.
Links from the .org site will take you to the store.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
