I’ve been working on a new formula. It’s called Wimpy Black and is sort of unique it that it does this after burner effect. I kind of sounds like a skid mark..(is that a bad word here?) It only has 0.1% metals in it. This could be left out if need be. It’s also long burning. It will run with a Kn of 280 up to 400. Is easy on the hardware too. I’ve re-used some paper liners as many as four times same witth the o-rings. It chuffs at Kn’s below 250 as you can see. and I was playing around with various delay grain lengths..some of them were to short. The test motors where tied down to protect the grass. No grass was harmed during these tests!

I was able to fly it this past weekend and was happy how the motors went.

We also flew some Wimpy Black in AT 29/120 case = G36 and in the 29/180 case was a G45
Here is the grain configuration for the 75mm motor…
Here is the formula..

Wow – that sounds like a really nice combination (LOUD, easy cleanup, long burning)…. how is performance? I know you are an altitude guy 8)
Will we see this at BALLS? There is a rather large herd of NCR guys coming to Black Rock this fall – hopefully we can see it then?
How large of a motor have you done w/ this? Sounds awesome!
Pretty Cool. ‘I like it…..I like it a lot’
John, It’s not very good performance at all. Me an altitude guy? Where did you get that idea. I’ll be at Balls and am looking forward to seeing you guys. I still remember the Elk Burgers I got. They helped ease my ‘misplacing’ my rocket. Below is what I’ve got going for Balls this year.
Mike, I like it a lot too!

I got that idea because I haven’t ever gotten w/in 10K of your best shot. Bring your “A” game to the playa this year, though 😀 I have an interesting project up my sleeve….
