8) It may have been their best launch to date. Chili Blaster II, S.C.O.R.E. down at the ranch outside Pueblo. Wonderful weekend for all who were there. Light winds on Saturday, little to no winds on Sunday. Temps in the mid to upper 80’s. The BBQ vendor was right on. And who was that lady, in the wheelchair with all the pepers and salsa? She had the best mild salsa I ever had.(It had a kick to it) Saturday started a little slow, but the rockets were still going at almost midnight. Music playing, kids running in the dark, campfire, lots of people camping out. Some fine flights both days, MotoJoe on site, as was Rocket Garden. I had 9 flights, only one small zipper. My 4″ Nike, Now or Never, went to 11685 on a 2gr.75 L585 Imax. Hats off to S.C.O.R.E. 😀
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
