I am sure most of you have seen this already but I am apparently still catching up on news. Frank Hunt was always one of the guys I enjoyed watching and flying with when I used to make treks out to Hellfire. Frank and his wife Dot were the nicest and most enthusiastic people! He will be missed!
8) I am so sad about Frank. When I first went over to Utah to vend, Frank and Dot were some of the first folks I meet. When they found out that I was from the Grand Juction area, they offered their home as a place to stay. That is the kind of folks that they are. Frank has been with NAR longer than dirt. He and Dot have held a ton of records over the years. But mostly, Frank loved to have fun. There is a lesson there. The next time I go to UROC I am going to ware a chicken on my head, he would like that! I hope Dot stays with UROC. She is famous for her cookies. Her smile lights up the launch. Rocketry has lost a fine fellow, he will be missed.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
