All,
A friend wants to bring a couple of Cub Scout dens (3rd graders) to Oktoberfest. I was going to be their “guide” but sadly I have a Boy Scout conflict that day so won’t be able to attend. They are a little nervous being newbies and hoping someone might be able to show them around when they get there so they know what to do. They are planning on building some small rockets before they come and hoping they might be able to do one group launch. My friend has launched before w/me so he knows how to prep the rockets, they just need someone to show them how NCR does things at a club launch.
Any takers?
Thanks!

AWESOME!!!!
We have about 15 cub scouts coming from Berthoud and a few boy scouts. The boy scouts might be camping North side of the launch. The cub scouts will be there during the day. Most of the scouts coming have been through the event before and can help out your friends. If they can’t find the other scouts, there is always a bunch of people that can help you out. Have them go to the main checkin table and they can get you started. Make sure they tell them they are a scout group and your pack number. I am planning on being there Friday and till about 10am on Saturday but there are many scout type people who will be there all day.
Take care,
Kevin Osler
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
