Just passing this along for someone to respond – take the ball and run with it.
Hello, My name is Sean Eads and I’m a reference librarian with the Standley Lake Public
Library in northern Arvada. Our library is interested in putting on a program about
model rocketry and I wondered if anyone in Northern Colorado Rocketry Club might be
interested in giving a talk on the basics-such as how a person gets into model
rocketry, how much does it cost, where can you find supplies, where can you see a
rocket be shot off, and that sort of thing.
We’re looking for about a 45-60 minute program. If it could be accompanied with
props, such as samples of model rockets, or perhaps an A/V demonstration, that would
be terrific (if my understanding is correct, it would be impossible to actually do a
live demonstration of a rocket launch in a suburban area). We can pay the presenter
in the neighborhood of $75 for the presentation, which we’d ideally like to host in
June.
Would you be willing to pass along our request to members of the NCRC? Thank you for
your time. Yours,
Sean

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order.
