The Volunteer Schedule for MHM 2012 seems to be off a bit.
I am off work from 24
I will tow thursday afternoon to the North site for set up.
When not launching I am out taking pictures most of the time,
so I will be available all around the area, just screem at me
and I will come running.
I think the schedule that is up is last years??????
I can change around a bit if needed.
thanks mike
But I think it’s last year’s schedule.
Do we know yet if we will for sure be having MHM this year?
I do know that we are as sure as one can be.
As of the last launch everything was a go. With NCR
and Forrestry Service.
We sure do need the rain W/ no wind.
Well, it rained twice since the last launch and both were good soaks. I’m thinking I’ll check the site out this weekend.
This Hewlett Gulch event up here in Fort Collins can’t be helpful… from 900 acres to over 5000 acres in 24 hours.

I could be wrong: I thought that since the fire is in Larimer County and the launch site is in Weld, we are safe to fly the rockets; unless, the Weld County Commissioners declare a fire ban in the county, like we have here in Larimer County, ( I can see the fire at night from my neighborhood, and the smoke was so thick yesterday at 5 pm, it looked like fog rolling in except for the ashes that were falling, and the smell) or the governor declares a fire ban for the the state, or certain areas/counties; or the Secretary of Agriculture declares a fire ban.
The smoke was bad here too.
there still is no ‘Red flag’ for the Pawnee (today)
We have had red flag up here for months. our snow
was 45%. That is not good.
IF I am able to show up, I have the Saturday AM 8-noon LCO shift. Otherwise, have at it folks.
By the way, where is that web crew who supposedly took over the website?
Here’s the link to the MHM 2012 schedule.
Please sign up in you are confirmed that you will be there to help out. Also, please do not delete another name that may have already volunteered for a timeslot. (We can’t be losing any volunteers)
Your volunteer efforts are HIGHLY appreciated by all flyers!

Thanks!
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
