I started in the hobby recently making a few KNSU motors and testing them on a homemade test stand based on an Aerocon load cell and an Arduino for daq. I am now beginning to work up some motors based on KNER. I have flown some E and F impulse KNSU motors using electronic deployment.
As I did more reading I discovered NCR and so recently joined NCR, TRA, and certified L1 and L2 at MHM to join the community. I am interested in meeting some local flyers generally and motor builders in particular. I live in Broomfield. Anyone in the area interested in getting together to talk rockets?
Cary
Cary,
I think we met out at the launch this weekend… I am in Platteville, you are more than welcome to come over when I am mixing.

Hey Jeff. Thanks for the invite. We exchanged messages on TRF a few weeks ago but I don’t recall meeting at MHM. Help me place a face, where/when did we talk?
Cary, my name is Tom and I live over in Aurora. I have just been getting up to speed making my first test batches of an AN based formula and have also been finishing up a test stand. I would be happy to sit down some time and share successes and failures.
I live in Arvada, off of Wads and 66th. I am always willing to help and even have APCP components if you want.
Best way to contact me is by email.

I tinker in the research world. I’ve done APCP but mainly concentrate on hybrids now. I’m in Fort Collins. As with James, e-mail is the best way to contact me.

I live in Wellington, north of Fort Collins. I have purchased osme tools and and equipment from James and have been wiht him for one mixing session and looking for more opportunities. I would like to join up whenever I can so I can increase my knowledge base. E-mail works for me; bears real estate at msn dot com
Going to a mix session is a great way to gain information, even if all you to is stand around. Group builds (like the Proton) are also a great opportunity.

Please post if someone schedules a mix gathering. I would definitely like to attend.
I am trying to put a date together, I will let you know
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
