With the demise of NCR’s Oktoberfest launch this year, I’ve been considering making the October launch at Hartsel a 2-day event. It would be Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21. Both days would be under Tripoli Research rules (yes, NAR members can fly, as well). Would folks from NCR be interested in joining us? Our standing waiver is 7,000 ft. with windows to 14,200 ft. There is no camping on-site, but there are a few places nearby that allow camping.

Put me down in the “definite maybe” column. I need to clear the weekend…
Chances are very good that I would make it on Saturday for a day trip as Sunday does not work for me.

It appears that the main difficulty will be getting motors, since neither Joe nor Jon will be able to make it to Hartsel on the 20th or 21st. So if you need motors, please contact them now and make arrangements prior to the launch.
thanks.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
