Well there aren’t enough weekends in the summer – so we’ll have to spend an evening instead.
I’ll plan on digging into the trailer and start cleaning and charging batteries next Thursday about 5:30pm. As usual we can do the cleaning out by my barn. I’m located south of Longmont near Hwy 287 and Hwy 52.
If you are able to help then shoot me an email at ed at dawsonmail dot net, or send a PM and I can give you directions.
Ed
Update: We got the rods and rails cleaned, fire extinguishers and batteries charged, trailer lights fixed, created an ample supply of whip clips, and a few more odds and ends accomplished.
We’re ready to launch.
Thanks to Jack Matthews, Ken and John Reilly for helping out!
Ed
Double Thank You. Where may the trailer be now?
Mike,
I’ll get the trailer back to Pierce in the next couple of days.
I’ll miss the first part of Mayhem (or maybe all of it), so I’ll get the trailer closer for you. Huge thanks to you for your help in hauling!
Ed
Now all I need to know is when do the powers to be want it there?
😆
Mike,
The trailer is in Pierce this afternoon. I think I heard Joe say a late afternoon setup on Thursday would be great.

Sounds Good
I’m still working out the details but am guessing a Thursday afternoon set up is going to be the plan.
Deb and I are planning on going up Thursday in the MoHo and help set up.
Outstanding efforts all around. Toilets ordered – three units should be delivered Thursday. I still haven’t been told if I get Thursday off from work so I don’t know if I’ll be there about noon or not until after five.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
