Very nice quality pics. love the clarity.
I launched my PUMA on a L800 today. Launched great.
Deployed chutes great. I lost sight of it (as usual) around
5000 or so. 7900′. Thanks to my dog collar and a used
receiver, I got it recovered. Thanks again SteveWhen it landed it started getting dragged from the wind. A fruity
chute was not the cute to use. Ground rash clear down to wood
on the fins. Was dragged and lifted off the ground for 10 or 12
blocks. (what ever that is) Way too far. More the chute choice than
the wind.A little trimming and glue, it will be as good as new.

A great day for a launch. A little breezy at times but over all
not bad. Sunday is forecasted for much better weatherMikeS

I left early to get home because of weather. Missed the
tornado that touched down some place, but not the hail.Was a picture perfect day for launching. Both I launched landed
less that 1/4 mile. First one landed 20 yards.Some pics today need lightened up a little. Sorry.

Missed catching a nice drag race. Was not ‘in tune’ with
ones camera today.Getting a lot of unwanted stuff hooked to my Google page. Will probably be

I’m now convinced that my G3 had what would normally be called a shred, although I don’t know why the airframe failed. Of the two onboard cameras, one was lost and the other wouldn’t turn on. I did recover video from the SD card in the remaining camera and have posted it here

Cool video – don’t know much about what’s ‘normal’, but did you notice on the super slow motion,, for just a fraction of a second (must be milliseconds in real time) at between T 0:28 and 0:29 (the frame in which the flight line first appears in the lower right corner), the motor flame seems to briefly ‘explode’? Is that normal variation or might that be a contributing factor?
