Looking forward to Oktoberfest. Don’t know if anyone has a special rocket they wanted filming but I plan on having my camera set up there. I have a couple of flights I would like to do but I should be able to film a L3 cert (Joe, hint hint) or any other special launch you would like to do.

Doug, are you digital yet or still using the old high-speed film cameras? I’m hoping to re-cert L3 at Octoberfest and it would be awesome to fly off your pad.
Yes I went digital a long time ago. I use about 20 to 30 cameras depending on circumstances. I’m not sure how many I’ll have at Oktoberfest but in that range I suspect. You can checkout some videos come of the teams at the Spaceport Americas Cup have made using my footage. I post them on my face book page. https://www.facebook.com/RocketryPhotography/ or clips on my Vimeo page https://vimeo.com/

I’m going to try to attend Oktoberfest again this year. Hopefully the weather will cooperate more than last year. I’m not sure if I’ll try the drag race but I hope to bring the camera set up. Would anyone like for me to film their launch? Here is one of the Swiss teams I recorded at SAC last month https://vimeo.com/343565864

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
