STOP – NO GO for launch on Saturday, March 2nd. I spoke at length with the Ranger this afternoon. We have been instructed to CANCEL our scheduled launch for this weekend. The crispy vegetation and extremely dry soil conditions have elevated the levels of concern. And that’s without mentioning the 800 plus acre fire that happened this past weekend. Extended forecast of dry weather for the prairie doesn’t look promising for launching on March 9th either.

SCORE will be launching at the Hudson Ranch on Saturday and CRASH plans to be launching on Sunday at Bear Creek Lake Park.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
