Apparently, common sense isn’t. There are still a few among us that are thinking NCR will be launching on Saturday, December 5th. The reality of the facts: NOT HAPPENING! NO GO for launch at the Atlas Site. Stage Two Fire Restrictions have been lifted but the prairie remains very dry. More importantly, pandemic spikes and precautionary recommendations suggest a group meeting, even with social distancing and masks in place, is not a healthy option. This has been a really tough year and maybe next year will be better. Good news to follow eventually regarding 2021 launch schedule and our Annual meeting (also currently Not Happening).
SCORE might be launching on the 5th, they might not. Check their webpage for the latest information.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
