Yes It was Tim Thomas. Sorry its been a little rough to get with people at the moment as I have moved just this last weekend and still trying to figure out which way up is.. But Yes. Tim Thomas of Giant Leap won it.
If any one has any questions please feel free to give me a shout. I do have my net connection back up and running and my contact info has remained the same.
Conway
‘Bout time Tim got something back!
Actually Tim got a few things I think… But your correct. Glad he won when he did it made it so we could get him up there easier to give him his award..
I believe it was Tim Thomas with GL. you will have to confirm with Conway and Dave but that is what I remember.
Hey, that’s great! I can’t think of anyone I’d rather give it to.
Let me know when you have the dual deploy altimeter! Sweet! What you offer is very impressive!
Thanks. I finally finished my vacuum chamber upgrades and have some Parrot altimeters calibrated and back in stock. If anyone is interested in a Parrot calibrated with an extended range setting to record down to 0 pressure (100 kft+, rather than 30 kft) that’s available now. Next I’ll get back to finishing the Sparrow, and then I’ll work on a low-altitude deploy program for the Parrot, and then a full-up dual-deploy altimeter.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
