I think this would work great! What is the dry weight of the rocket?
Edward
Edward,
I have a 3″ bird with an 18″ 54mm motor mount. It has plenty of room for a 28″ motor (stability included) as the BT section is 48″.
Since the permanent motor tube is only 18″, my thoughts are to have a temporary motor tube “extension” held in place by the forward rail button bolt.
Do you think this would work for the Alpha Hybrids?

Sunday Oktoberfest is ‘Tripoli Research Rules’
Will the Alpha Hybrids fall under the Tripoli Research Rules or
are NAR able to fly?
For Tripoli Research rules you do have to be L2 in Tripoli. If you are NAR and would like to fly I’d happily fly your rocket under my name as I’m Tripoli L2. I’d just want to check that you didn’t get some toilet paper tubes and kitbash them together with some cardstock fins 🙂 If you’d be okay with your rocket flying under my name then lets dance 🙂
Edward
Edward,
It’s coming in at about 7.5 lbs without the paint and chocolate sprinkles. It’ all filament wound glass and I skipped the toilet paper tubes and cardstock as much as possible.
Still hoping to get it done in time.
That should work fine. Flight should be around 1500-2000′. Make sure to upsize the chute to take about 12 lbs at 15-20fps

Can I send the A2 up again??
Yes, you can send the A2 up again. Paper or Plastic?

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
