Bruce,
Sorry to hear about the accident – man, a real string of bad luck. Very glad you’re OK though.
I’d be happy to offer you a ride to Ault if your car’s still in the shop.

Thanks, Ed. I really appreciate that. Now is the time–as you know–you know who your real friends are, and amazingly 99.9% of them are in this club! Art and others have offered. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens Monday. I have missed certain things in the club, but since I joined, I have NEVER missed an annual meeting. Not gonna happen. See you there!

Indeed, I am headed west…. I’m blessed to be gainfully employed on the Front Range. It is a very long story that I’ll share over a campfire sometime.
I started work out there on 12/1, and I have been commuting from Iowa since then. We bought a house west of Windsor, and our Iowa house is under contract and will close 1/16. I’ll be there full time ~February 1st.
Of course I bought a house that has a decent rocket construction area 8) I’m looking forward to being a regular NCR flier again –
Congratulations!
I new a guy a few years back, in the reserves that was stationed in Kosovo. How did he put it? “Glad that is over”
Not that Iowa compares to Kosovo. 😉January 4, 2009 at 6:33 pm #49708Art Hoag

I say we all just show up at his house Saturday morning and extract Bruce “Ninja style” from his house in a black van and off to the meeting we go.

ParticipantUnfortunately, there aren’t any record-setting motors in 2.5″ diameter.
How about TRA EX records? You’re L2 now, time to start rollin’ your own! Maybe a 2.5″ 100% K or L in a low thrust, very long burn?
Finish taking care of the A-I records first!

ParticipantIf I can make it up for the meeting, I can bring up a “still in the shrinkwrap” bundle of 8′ lengths of 1010 and 1020 rail.
1010 – 1″x1″ standard 8′ long $20ea.
1020 – 1″x2″ standard 8′ long $40ea.
I need the money, and it’s less than McMaster, plus no shipping. Any interest? If not, I won’t waste the extra gas to haul it.

ParticipantKen, I will take one of those 1010 rails of your hands.

If I don’t make it, I’ll hold one for you.Ken

Me Too! I’ll take a 1010 rail if any are left.
I’ll have some Estes kits and a piece of 6in PML tubing and a coupler for sale. Maybe a few other things for sale depending what I find cleaning this week.
Ron
PS John I lived in Ames for a bunch of years but like here better.
