I’m very excited about the possibility of the I216’s being flown in min. diameter optimized rockets. The first time that anyone will be attempting an altitude attempt with these motors. That would be very cool.
Looking forward to seeing the results. I hope the weather will be cooperative that day.
Good luck everyone!

ParticipantI will be there Saturday all day for sure and I am planning to fly a K or L shot on Sunday but wouldn’t be able to get there until 10:15 Sunday morning if everyone is willing to hang around until I show up 😉 I will have it pretty much ready to go.

I used to think the “I” record was pretty much unreachable. Now, I’m pretty confident I can get there with a non-optimized rocket. Adrian will get there with a non-optimized rocket… and then we’ll both optimize rockets and increment it again.
Regarding this weekend, I have one major concern – due to a nuance of the design, I can’t shear pin this rocket. That scares me. If all goes well, I think I’m over 14K handily. A lot can happen (good and bad) on a shot like this.
Bottom line, the TRA “I” record will get vaporized on an I216 this year 🙂 maybe multiple times. I think the K record is very vulnerable now as well. Ditto for the G. Probably likewise for the F….. all this is because of CTI loads that are coming into the market. It is a great time to be a flyer!

Nothing too exciting here. I’ll be bringing some low and mid power stuff, and I’m hoping to continue my alphabet contest up through H or so.

ModeratorThere should still be NOX in the tank as long as the trailer gets there. I haven’t checked in with Ed to see how the Volunteer pool is filling up but I’m confident we’ll all find a way to make this launch weekend work out.
I’ll be bringing part of/what’s left of the store until the next re-supply and taking orders for Mayhem or at least making notes of everyone’s wish list. I’m still not clear on just how Tim did such an incredible job of predicting needs and getting product delivered on time. For what it’s worth, all of the L3 Promo orders are now in transit and I will be able to ship/deliver after this weekend becomes history.April 8, 2010 at 3:51 am #52417Kenneth Reilly
ParticipantI can tow the trailer out on Saturday, but someone else will need to tow it back Sunday afternoon. I need to replace my tent before any overnighters.

Hey guys,
Should be a blast, very excited about the weekend. Flying my dad out from Kansas, he’s heard me talk alot about rockets, so will be great to whooo him with the actual sound and bare eyes. Little DD Blue Dawg is ready for launch, can’t wait to see her fly.
